Slime Care
To ensure you have the best experience, we've put together this handy guide on how to play with and take care of your slimes. Remember to always wash your hands before playing with your slime to keep it clean. Make sure you’re using a clean, dry surface to prevent dirt and debris from getting into the slime.
How To Make Slime Activator:
- Add provided borax powder to 1/2 cup of warm water and stir well until the borax powder is completely dissolved. This is your borax solution and it will serve as your slime activator.
- Pour the borax solution into a clean, airtight container or bottle for storage. Label the container clearly as "Slime Activator" and keep it out of reach of children when not in use.
Slime Care Tips:
Before Playing With Slimes
- To help your slimes last longer, always play with your slimes with clean hands on a clean surface.
- Prepare your slime activator by mixing the borax powder provided in your order with 1 cup of warm water.
- To prevent slimes from sticking to your hands, lightly coat your hands with the activator solution.
After Playing With Slimes
- Always remember to clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Store your slimes in a cool area and avoid direct sunlight.
- Store your slimes in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out.
What Do I Do With Inflated Slimes?
- Don't throw your inflated slimes away! Slimes tend to inflate when you play with them because air gets added to it.
- When the slime is inflated, there will be excess slime that may not fit back into the container.
- To store your excess slimes, place them in an airtight container / tupperware, or simply store it in a ziplock bag.
How Do I Fix A Sticky Slime?
- Add small amounts of activator to the slime (only add a few drops at a time), mix well after each addition and add more if needed.
How Do I Fix A Stiff / Hard Slime?
- Slimes may turn hard or rubbery when there's too much activator added to it.
- Soften your slimes by adding lotion or glycerin and knead to your desired consistency.
- If the above method doesn't work, massage the slime in hot water to soften it.
Storage:
- Always store your slime in an airtight container when you're not playing with it. This helps prevent it from drying out and keeps it fresh for longer.
Temperature Control:
Keep your slime away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Heat can make it too sticky, while cold can make it hard and difficult to play with.
Safety Tips:
Always supervise young children while they play with slime. Ensure they don’t put slime in their mouths, and wash hands after playing.
